THIBODAUX, La. – Nicholls State University beach volleyball team will welcome five signees on National Signing Day as announced by head coach Kallie Noble.
Noble is excited about new faces and what they can provide to the program.
"The 2023 beach recruiting class will be key in helping us build a conference championship-contending program," Noble said. "With a premier facility at Thibodaux Regional, this class has the experience and talent to help take us to the next level, and it will be fun to see our beach program grow in the coming years."
KEIRA HECKEL
Keira Heckel is a 5'2 defensive specialist from Scottsdale, Arizona. She played one year of varsity volleyball at Cactus Shadows High School where she earned AVCA Best and Brightest first-team honors. Her other accomplishments include most outstanding defensive player at the 2022 Goldwater Festival, being a member of the 2022 Dan Duren Model team, and competing for the RPM National Sand Beach team from 2019 to 2022.
RYLEE LANSING
Rylee Lansing is a 5'10 split blocker from Shenandoah, Texas that played three years of varsity volleyball for Friendswood High School. In 2021 she was second-team All-District and Academic All-District. Additionally, she qualified for the USAV Beach Nationals from 2018-22.
TATUM LOCKHARDT
Tatum Lockhardt is a 5'6 defensive specialist from Webster, Texas, and played three years on varsity at Klein Oak High School. She has accumulated more than 1,000 digs in her career and currently ranks second in the district for digs. For her work in the classroom, she was named Academic All-District in 2020 and '21. Additionally, she is a member of the National Honor Society.
MADELYN LYON
Madelyn Lyon is a 6'0 middle blocker from Dallas, Texas. She played two years of varsity volleyball for Rockwall High School. She currently ranks 174th in the National Beach 18U rankings. She was a member of the 2021 and '22 All-District 10 6A All-Academic teams and helped Rockwall win the district title with undefeated records in 2021 and 2022. In 2019, she was a part of a Nike Invitational 15 club that took first place in the event and was on the first-place team at the Adidas Spring Festival in 2020. Additionally, the Dallas native was a member of the National Honor Society, Vice President of the student council, and initiated and participated in countless community service events.
BROOKLYNN WILKINSON
Brooklynn Wilkinson is a 5'10 blocker from Baton Rouge, La. She played for St. Joseph's Academy. In 2022, she competed in the Beach Prospects National Recruiting Showcase, AVP Louisiana Beach Week, and New Jersey Beach Week.
