Final Stats THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University men's tennis team dropped the doubles point against Alcorn before going on to win four straight singles matches to pick up a 4-3 victory Monday afternoon at the Colonel Tennis Complex.
All four victories for Nicholls (6-5) came in straight sets. Alcorn (1-8) took the final two matches after the team victory was decided.
Piyush Surendra Salekar started off singles with a win via retirement.
Antonio Sasso gave up just three points in for a victory at No. 6, thenÂ
Pavle Drobnjakovic tied it up with a win at No. 5.Â
Omar Morsy finished the string of wins with a 6-2, 6-4 victory on the top court.Â
Ricardo Machado fell in straight sets while
Nicola Wehrle dropped his tiebreaker set, 10-6.
