HAMMOND, La. - The Nicholls State University women's soccer team was unable to get a shot on goal as the Colonels fell to Southeastern, 3-0, Friday night at Strawberry Stadium.
In two league games, Nicholls (2-6-2, 0-2 SLC) has been held without a goal. The Colonels finished with three shots on the night.
Southeastern (4-2, 2-0 SLC) used two first-half goals to grab the momentum and added another early after halftime. Mya Guillory headed the first one in for the Lady Lions before Makenzie Maher scored the second.
Elizabeth Zepeda subbed in for
Reagan Carter at goalkeeper the rest of the way and totaled six saves and one goal allowed.
For the Colonels,
Kori Ingram,
Kinga Koronkiewicz and
Courtlynne Birch each were credited with a shot.
UP NEXT
The Colonels head to Texas to take on the Islanders of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday, Sept. 23. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
