COMMERCE, Texas – The Nicholls State University soccer team fell 3-0 to Texas A&M-Commerce at Lion Soccer Field on Friday night.
The scoring began when the Lions' Marina Vera put a shot into the back of the net 14 minutes into the contest.
In the 40th minute, Kaydence Ramirez broke free and scored from just outside the box to give the Lions a 2-0 advantage before the intermission. Ramirez scored again after Camila Montero found her open in front of the goal (55').

Elizabeth Zepeda registered eight saves in her eighth start of the season.
The Colonels were outshot 24 to 8. Junior mid fielder
Lauren Andre took three shots with one on target, senior forward
Kaitlyn Poirrier took two shots with one on goal, while defenders
Ryan Griep,
Kori Ingram, and
Berkley Payne finished with one shot apiece.
