THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University softball team will host Southern University on Wednesday, April 24 for a nonconference matchup. First pitch at Swanner Field is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday but was moved up a day due to possible weather. But the contest will now be played on it's original Wednesday date. The ESPN+ broadcast is TBD.Â
Nicholls enters the game with 23-22 overall record. Southern is 13-30 on the season after dropping all three games at Alcorn this past weekend.
The Colonels will play their final four games at home, hosting HCU for a three-game set this weekend. Friday's opening game at 4 p.m. will serve as the program's annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game, presented by Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center.Â
