LAKE CHARLES, La. - After rain and lightning wiped out half of Wednesday's action in the Southland Conference Tournament, the Nicholls State University softball's matchup against HCU was postponed to Thursday. The Colonels and Huskies will begin the day with an 11 a.m. first pitch.

No. 3 Nicholls fell in extra innings in its opener against No. 6 Northwestern State Tuesday night while No. 7 HCU dropped its contest against No. 2 Southeastern earlier in the day. The winner will move on to play No. 5 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 4 p.m. while the loser will be eliminated from the tournament.
