HATTIESBURG, MS – The Nicholls State University women's soccer team was beaten 6-0 by Southern Miss on Sunday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles applied pressure from the opening kickoff, scoring three goals within the first 10 minutes of the contest. USM added a goal in the 22nd minute to hold a 4-0 advantage at the intermission. In the second half, the Golden Eagles added goals in the 53rd and 83rd minute.

Kelsey Villatoro took the only three shots for the Colonels.
Both sophomore goalkeepers played a half and registered two saves.
Elizabeth Zepeda started for the fourth time this season, while
Megan Cook played the second stanza.
