FRISCO, Texas - Nicholls State University's Harry Collins has been named Southland Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

A native of London, England, Collins started the season with a perfect 3-0 mark at No. 3 singles, capped with a win at LSU. He earned a straight-set win against the Tigers for the Colonels' lone point, defeating Chen Dong 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.

Collins opened the season with a straight-set win against Loyola New Orleans before earning a three-set victory against Jacksonville State in the Colonels' home opener. He also picked up a doubles victory in the season opener against the Wolf Pack.
