Garrett Felix was named Southland Conference Hitter of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Felix put together an impressive week for the Colonels as he hit 7-for-14 (.500), including two doubles and three RBI across four games. He also added six walks to post a .650 on-base percentage and scored five times.
In Sunday's win over Southeastern, Felix tallied three hits including an RBI double, and drew one free pass to help the Colonels complete the sweep. In the other two wins over the Lions, he registered three hits and walked three times, while scoring twice. In the mid-week game at Louisiana, he recorded one hit, one run and walked twice.
After the productive week, the Scott, La. native now has the eighth most doubles (10) and RBI (27), and 10th (20) most walks in the SLC. Additionally, he has the fourth most stolen bases (9) and ninth best on base percentage (.437).
