THIBODAUX, La. - For the second time this season, the Nicholls State University softball team's contest against Southern has been wiped out as Wednesday's matchup (April 10) at Swanner Field has been postponed due to weather.

The teams were scheduled to meet in Baton Rouge in early March but that game was canceled because of weather as well. A possible makeup for Wednesday's game will be announced on a later date.

Nicholls will head back on the road for a Southland series at HCU this weekend. The Colonels swept their first road series at Northwestern State and took two of three at Lamar before the Easter break.

Friday's doubleheader to open the series against HCU is scheduled for 4 p.m.
