COMMERCE, Texas – The Nicholls State University women's volleyball team was beaten 3-0 by East Texas A&M on Wednesday night.
Both teams started the match strong as the Colonels tallied 15 kills while hitting .222 from the floor compared to the Lions who registered 17 kills while hitting .245. However, the Colonels momentum slowed down as the Lions continued to attack efficiently as they hit .571 and .520 in the second and third stanzas, respectively.
The Red & Gray attack was paced by
Isabella Padilla who dished 25 assists.
Alyssa Williams led the team with seven kills followed by
Tierney Terrell and
Melanie Guevara who registered six apiece.
Harper Holden and
Ana Clara Valentim do Vale finished with four kills apiece.
Karina Smith led the Colonels' defense with 11 digs.
Ava-Claire Calais and Terrell followed with eight apiece while Guevara and Padilla combined for nine.
