PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas - The Nicholls State University men's tennis team picked up a pair of 4-0 victories on Friday afternoon, sweeping Prairie View A&M in a doubleheader.

In the two matches, Nicholls (3-1) received straight-set wins by Maxwell Lindstedt and Mike Wood in both victories. Marcell Marki won in No. 5 singles in the opening match, while Kotaro Matsumura notched a victory on the top line in the second go-around.

For doubles action, Prairie View was able to win a court in the first match but Nicholls still claimed the point. Marki and Lindstedt won at No. 1, 6-2, and following the Panthers' victory, Wood and Colin Taveres secured a 6-4 win. 

The Wood/Taveres duo also won in the second match while Kotaro Matsumura/Felipe Spagnuolo teamed up for a 6-3 victory.
