FRISCO, Texas - Nicholls State University softball's
Claire Sisco became the first player this season to repeat as Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Hitter of the Week as the league office recognized her as the SLC's top hitter for the second time.
Sisco racked up nine hits for a .750 batting average in the Colonels' four games this week, hitting safely in all four outings and posted three-hit games at Southern Miss and in the opener at McNeese. The Colonel leadoff hitter had three doubles, five runs scored, two RBIs and two stolen bases.
Sisco extended her hitting streak to 10 games and ranks second in the SLC in batting average at .444. She has recorded a hit in 24 of 30 games played, including 10 multi-hit efforts.
