THIBODAUX, La.  –  The Nicholls State University baseball team will play a pair of mid-week road games at Tulane (April 29) and South Alabama (April 30). First pitch for both contests is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and both will be streamed via ESPN+.
 
Nicholls (15-26, 8-16 SLC) has won three of their last five games, however the unit lost its most previous game last week at Louisiana. The Colonels offense is led by Karson Irvin (.318) who has 49 hits, 35 runs, and 21 RBI. While Jaden Collura (.293) adds 41 hits and 26 RBI.
 
Tulane (26-18, 10-8 AAC) returns home after taking two of three contests on the road against East Carolina including a 20-5 run rule victory. South Alabama (17-24, 7-14 SBC) returns home after being swept by Marshall by a combined 18-4 as the offense went cold against the Thundering Herd.
 
Nicholls trails the all-time series with Tulane 59-23 dating back to 1981. The Colonels trail the all-time series against the Jaguars 16-9 including dropping the last four meetings. The last Red & Gray victories over the Green Wave and Jaguars came in 2019 and 2016 respectively.
