MOBILE, Ala. – In a contest that saw 20 runners left stranded on base, the Nicholls State University baseball team was beaten 2-0 by the University of South Alabama on Stanky Field on Wednesday night.
Nicholls (15-29, 8-16 SLC) threatened to score multiple times throughout the game including having the bases loaded in the second and fourth innings. However, the offense tallied five hits and came up empty as the Colonels were shut out for the third time this season.

Karson Irvin,
Noah Detillier, and A.J. Cappell tallied the five hits for the Colonels. The Jaguars scored via a solo home run on the first pitch of the second inning and on a groundout in the seventh.
The Colonels had a solid performance from five pitchers as Koen vs 'T Klooster struck out five batters and allowed one run in four full frames. Starting pitcher
