FRISCO, Texas – Nicholls State University baseball pitcher Nuno Parache has been named Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
 
Parache earned the final weekly award of the regular season after pitching a complete game shutout victory over Southeastern.
 
In his fourth victory of the season, the Brooklyn, New York native, struck out a season high 10 batters and allowed SLU to post a season low two hits. Additionally, the right hander recorded four 1-2-3 innings, and the Lions offense was shutout for the second time all season.
