OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nicholls State University baseball pitcher
Nuno Parache has been named College Baseball Foundation (CBF) Pitcher of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
Parache earned the weekly award after pitching a complete game shutout victory over Southeastern and he is the lone player from the Southland Conference to be honored by the CBF this season.
In his fourth victory of the season, the Brooklyn, New York native, struck out a season high 10 batters and allowed SLU to post a season low two hits. Additionally, the right hander recorded four 1-2-3 innings, and the Lions offense was shutout for the second time all season.
