LAKE CHARLES, La. - Nicholls State University senior Molly VandenBout added another accolade following the 2025 Southland Conference Tournament as she was named to the SLC All-Tournament Team, the league office announced Saturday night.

VandenBout shined in the Colonels' run to the championship round of the Hammond Bracket, going 2-0 in the circle with a 0.58 ERA. She totaled eight strikeouts in 12.0 innings pitched, tossing two complete games highlighted by a shutout in the 4-0 win over HCU. VandenBout also contributed at the plate with three RBIs and three hits which included one double.

In addition to being named all-tournament, the Temple, Texas native garnered All-Southland Second Team as a utility player and SLC Hitter of the Week this season. 

Southland Championship Series participants McNeese and Southeastern took up all but two spots on the all-tournament team, with VandenBout and UIW's Victoria Altamirano being the lone exceptions.
