GRAMBLING, La. – In a physical contest that featured 15 total fouls, the Nicholls State University soccer team was beaten 3-0 by Grambling on Sunday afternoon.
Nicholls offense started strong as
Avery Mondoux (00:57) and Sara Sigurdson (8:29) took shots early on. However, Grambling, struck first when Olivia Kowall and Sophia Lezizdis set up Liana Bryant to put the Tigers up 1-0 (15:28).

Aislinn Wright had a strong first half as she had four saves on 10 (5) shots faced.
The Tigers extended their lead with back-to-back goals by Alana Aiken (53:35) and Kowall (54:46). The Colonels took a pair of shots in the second stanza. Mondoux took her second shot of the game (59:48), followed by a Colonel yellow card (77:28). Samantha Doyle took the final shot of the game (84:14).
Wright was one of two Colonels to play the full 90 minutes. She finished the match with five saves on 18 (8) shots by the Tigers.
