Harris Scores First Goal in Colonels’ loss at Alcorn

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Sophomore defender Kaylie Harris scored her first career goal in the Nicholls State University women's soccer team 3-1 loss to Alcorn on Thursday night.
 
Harris broke free and scored the first goal of the game to put the Red & Gray up five minutes before the intermission. The Colonels and Lady Braves had a back and forth first 45 minutes of play however, the second half was a different story.
 
The Lady Braves tied the game on a goal by Deryn Doamekpor (62:20). After nearly 20 minures, the Lady Braves took command of the match with a pair of goals by Elive Larissa Josa Luma (86:45, 89:33).
 
Overall, the Colonels were outshot five to seven and the Lady Braves generated seven corner kicks compared to one for the Colonels. Kate Guillory, Alyssa Wheeler, Sara Sigurdsson, and Paityn Bruce added shots for Nicholls. Goalkeeper Aislinn Wright registered two saves on five shots on target.
