FRISCO, Texas - Nicholls State University softball senior Molly Yoo has been named Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week following her dominant performance over the weekend in the Mardi Gras Mambo.

Yoo went 3-0 with a 0.82 ERA and had two complete games including one shutout in her three appearances. She totaled 13 strikeouts and held the opposition to a .177 batting average in 17.0 innings of work.

The Cypress, Texas native pitched all six innings in the run-rule win over Eastern Illinois on Friday and then fanned seven batters in the 1-0 shutout against Georgia State on Saturday. 

Yoo finished off the weekend on Sunday by notching her third win after tossing 4.0 innings of relief in the extra-inning victory over SIUE.

The weekly award is the second for Yoo in her career after garnering her first last season in April.
