THIBODAUX, La. - Following its third weekend of action, the Nicholls State University softball team will make its home debut on Wednesday, Feb. 25 against Southern Miss.

Under second-year head coach Ron Frost, the Colonels posted an impressive 14-3 record at Swanner Field in his debut campaign. This season, each home game/series will feature a special promotion to help generate an exciting atmosphere for Colonel fans.

Bark At The Park - Feb. 25 vs. Southern Miss
Home Opener

• All dogs are welcome at The Swann'

• Pup Cups will be provided at the gate (while supplies last)

• Dogs are free to run on the field 20 mins after the conclusion of the Nicholls Softball game (please pick up all dog waste!)

Autism Awareness - March 6 vs. Stephen F. Austin

• Support Autism Awareness by Packing The Swann' Blue

• Ceremonial 1st pitch

• All Fans who wear blue will receive the chance to win a Nicholls Softball T-shirt (drawing will be held during the top of the 6th inning)

Military Appreciation - March 10 vs. LSU

• We invite all active and retired military members to join us for the game + free tailgate located behind left field fence

• Red Out the Swann' by wearing your Colonel red

• Ceremonial 1st pitch + The national Anthem sung live and the flags presented by the Colorguard

• Bring the whole family for an evening full of softball and celebration of our Military personnel:

  • Inflatable obstacle course

  • Gun trucks will be present for all pictures

  • Tailgate for all active and retired military members

• Military members with proof of service will be entered to win a Nicholls T-shirt and an autographed softball (drawing held during the top of 4th inning)

Bridge to Independence - March 17 vs. Alcorn

• Recognition of the Bridge to Independence program at Nicholls and the students enrolled

• Ceremonial First Pitch and National Anthem Sung by a Bridge to Independence Student

• Post Game Autographs on the third base concourse with the team

Strikeout Cancer (Pinkout) - March 20 vs. McNeese

• Pack The Swann' Pink in support of Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Research

• Ceremonial First Pitch

• All kids can meet at the 3rd base gate to play catch on the field at the conclusion of the game

• Celebration and recognition of Nicholls Softball Seniors

Future Colonels - April 15 vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

• All Kids are encouraged to come out to The Swann' 

• Pack The Swann' Red 

  • Wear your red for a chance to win an autographed Schedule Poster and softball (drawing will be held at the top of the 5th inning)

• Kids can meet at the 3rd base gate at the conclusion of the game to run the bases

Youth Weekend - April 17 vs. Southeastern

• Ceremonial First Pitch + recognition of The FARM youth team

• Sno Cone truck and inflatable bounce house will be present for all kids

• Autographs will be held on the 3rd base concourse at the conclusion of the game
