CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Nicholls State University baseball team was was informed by the Southland Conference on Saturday morning that due to a protest of a play during its victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday was upheld and the contest is now set to be restarted at a later date.
 
The Colonels' win and Islanders' loss have been taken off each team's respective season records, and the game will be picked up from the point of the protested play with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the first inning and Nicholls leading 1-0 on a date still to be determined. The remainder of the series will be played as originally scheduled, with a doubleheader set to begin at 1 p.m. today.
