Lafayette, La. – The Nicholls State University soccer team had multiple shots but were unable to score in its 2-0 loss against Louisiana at Home Bank Soccer & Track in Lafayette on Thursday night.
The match was tied at zero for just over 30 minutes before Louisiana's Lily Parker scored (31:43). Maria Reyes doubled the lead when she scored off a rebound in the 58th minute.
The Colonels got outshot 25-4 as
Olyvia Pugh led the unit with two shots while
Jezlyn Nelson and
Angelina Rispone took one apiece. Goalkeeper
Aislinn Wright recorded seven saves including five in the second half. The Red & Gray recorded two corner kicks and committed five fouls.
