2022 Season (Junior): Served as the Colonels' primary starting pitcher, going 7-5 with a 3.72 ERA in 15 starts... named All-Southland First Team and garnered one pitcher of the week honor... tied for first in the SLC in wins and was third in ERA and opponent batting average (.220)... had two complete games and was a part of two shutouts... tossed six innings in the seven-inning no-hitter against Mississippi Valley State... struck out 58 batters in 87 innings pitched... tossed eight shutout innings in win over Northwestern State, and also had league wins against HCU, UIW and New Orleans... struck out a career-high eight in the win over UIW in 7.2 innings... tossed a complete game against McNeese, allowing one earned run on five hits.... issued 28 walks and hit six batters.
2021 Season (Sophomore): Made 21 appearances on the mound with two starts... posted a 3-3 record with one save... finished with a 5.77 ERA... struck out 31 batters and walked 15 in 39.0 innings... allowed 25 earned runs and 26 total... had a .284 opponent batting average... notched two victories out of the bullpen in the four-game sweep of SFA... struck out a season-high four batters in 2.0 innings at Louisiana (4/6)... ended the season with a 6.2 inning appearance out of the pen against Sam Houston (5/22).
2020 Season (Sophomore): Stepped into the role as the staff's midweek starter, making six appearances and four starts during the shortened 18-game season ... finished with a 3-2 record and a 2.76 ERA ... punched out 23 batters on strikes while surrendering 10 runs (nine earned) on 24 hits ... picked up the win in the Colonels' upset of No. 11 LSU (2/19), striking out seven while giving up just two hits and one run across 5.1 innings on the mound.
2019 Season (Freshman): Racked up 26 appearances for the Red & Gray, including one start ... posted a perfect 4-0 record as well along with a 4.33 ERA ... tossed 27.0 innings with 17 strikeouts ... allowed 15 runs (13 earned) on 26 hits ... made collegiate debut against Southern Illinois (2/17).
High School/Prep: Attended Brusly High School in Brusly, La. ... played baseball for Brusly... was named LSWA 3A All-State at utility in his senior season... was also an all-district selection... garnered all-state honors in 2017 after going 10-1 with a 2.57 ERA.
Personal: Full name is Tyler Reid Theriot, born September 2… son of Chad and Hollie Theriot… majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
