2024 Season (Sophomore): Followed up a stellar freshman campaign with a Southland-leading 106 strikeouts and a .165 opponent batting average...ranked third in the NCAA in hits per nine (4.97) and 15th in Ks per nine (13.50)...went 5-1 with a 4.58 ERA in 70.2 innings, fanned a season-high 12 batters against New Orleans in 6.1 innings, and had 10 Ks against Southeastern and Lamar... Mayers struck out an SLC-best 60 batters with a .150 average in league play...named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region Second Team.

2023 Season (Freshman): Put together a decorated rookie campaign, earning five Freshman All-American honors... named Freshman Pitcher of the Year by both Collegiate Baseball and NCBWA... earned All-Southland First Team and Southland Freshman of the Year... also garnered LSWA All-Louisiana and Freshman of the Year, ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region, and was a College Baseball Foundation Pitcher of the Year Semifinalist... named Southland All-Tournament and Tuscaloosa Regional All-Tournament...  finished with a 9-1 record, a 2.02 ERA and 105 strikeouts... finished with the fourth-most strikeouts in program history for a single season... allowed only 44 hits in 75.2 innings pitched for a .175 opponent batting average... struck out a season-high 11 batters in his win over Louisiana Tech and closed out his freshman season with eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings against Alabama in the NCAA Regionals.

At St. Amant: Starting pitcher for the Gators... named LCBA 5A All-State, All-Region 8 and All-Parish as a senior after helping St. Amant to a 28-6 record in the regular season...  Gators reached the Class 5A title game for the first time since 2004...  defeated defending champion Barbe along the way, helped by his 10 strikeout performance in the opening win.

Personal: Birthday is June 10... parents are Chad and Allison Mayers... majoring in biology/pre-kinesiology... career goal is to become a physical therapist.
