LAKE CHARLES, La. –
Brice Davis and Petter Alleman led the Nicholls State University cross-country teams at the 10
th Annual ASICS McNeese Cowboy Stampede on Saturday at Chennault Airpark.
Alleman had the fastest time for the Colonel men, running a 23:26.50 in the 4-mile run. Stefon Naquin finished just off of Alleman's pace, crossing in 25:28.80.
Davis led the women's team, turning in a time of 21:29.50 in the 5k.
Callie Scull was the next-fastest finisher for Nicholls, running a 23:02.10.
Rachante Colebrook (25:23.60),
Terrian Gauff (26:03.60), Iesha Taylor (32:50.90) and Lakeisha Taylor (36:50.40) rounded out the competitors for the Colonels on the day.
In addition to Nicholls, the event featured Northwestern State, Southeastern La. and McNeese, Louisiana-Lafayette, Grambling, Southern, Loyola and Texas Southern.
The Colonels will next head to Clinton, Miss. to take on the Watson Ford Invitational on Friday, Oct. 9.
