Honolulu, Hawaii – Sunday will be a late night for fans of Nicholls State University basketball, as the team faces Hawaii at 11:30 p.m. central time at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
The Colonels (1-1) flew more than 4,200 miles over the Pacific Ocean for a meeting with the Rainbow Warriors (3-0). Nicholls will have to overcome jet lag and a significant four-hour time difference to secure a win against an extremely talented Hawaii squad.
The Colonels opened their regular season with a tough loss to Florida State, but rebounded with a decisive 80-58 victory over Mobile on Thursday night.
The Rainbow Warriors enter Sunday's contest riding a three-game winning streak, and are coming off of a thrilling 76-75 victory over Nevada on Monday.
Ja'Dante' Frye leads Nicholls in points (17.0), rebounds (7.0) and steals (2.0) through two games this season. He is coming off of the first double-double of his career, with 21 points and 10 boards against the Rams.
Luka Kamber is second on the team in scoring with 12 points per contest.

Tre O'Neal average 2.5 assists to pace the Colonels.
Aaron Valdes spearheads Hawaii's offensive attack with 16 points per game, and is shooting a healthy 50% (16-of-32) on the year. Stefan Jankovic grabs 8.3 rebounds per contest and Roderick Bobbitt dishes out an average of 7.0 assists.
Though the numbers are skewed by a lopsided loss to the high-powered Seminoles, Nicholls is averaging 71 points per game while surrendering 83.5. The Colonels are shooting 41.5% from the floor and 26.1% from three-point range, while allowing 56.8% from the field and 37.1% beyond the arc. Nicholls has a -10.5 rebounding margin, but boasts a +6.5 turnover margin. The Colonels are currently 31
st in the nation and first among Southland Conference teams in fewest turnovers per contest.
The Rainbow Warriors are averaging 79.0 points per game, while allowing 71.3. Hawaii ranks ninth in the nation in free throw attempts and 28
th in free throws made. The Rainbow Warriors are also seventh in total steals and 33
rd in three-pointers made. Bobbitt ranks in the top-25 nationally in a number of statistical categories, including total steals (3

Following Sunday's action, Red and Gray will head to Albuquerque for a matchup against New Mexico at 8 p.m. CT on Wednesday.
