Photo Gallery on FacebookTHIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University football program officially concluded a memorable 2015 season as the Colonels hosted their annual year-end banquet Wednesday night, Dec. 2 in the Donald G. Bollinger Memorial Student Union.
Here is the complete list of hardware presented at the 2015 Colonel Football Awards Banquet.
Offensive Player of the Year: Michael Henry

Ranked ninth in the Southland in rushing yards, averaging 69.8 per contest… rushed for 768 yards and seven touchdowns, highlighted by a career-high 154 yards rushing against Northwestern State… also recorded first career touchdown reception against the Demons… had two 100-yard rushing efforts (100, at Lamar)… totaled eight touchdowns on the season to rank ninth in the SLC… leaves Nicholls ranked seventh on the all-time rushing list with 1,934 yards… candidate for Southland All-Academic.
Defensive Player of the Year: Hezekiah White

Spearheaded a resurgent defense… started all 11 games at linebacker, leading the team in tackles and tackles for loss… ranked sixth in the conference with 96 tackles, averaging 8.7 per game… ranked eighth in the league in tackles for loss with 9.5… recorded 1.5 sacks and 10 tackles at Stephen F. Austin … recovered a fumble in the Colonels' matchup against Colorado.
Special Teams Player of the Year: Francisco Condado

Was good on 7 of 11 field goal attempts… was 2 of 3 from 20-29 yards, 2 of 2 from 30-39 yards, and 3 of 6 from 40-50 yards… made two field goals against Southeastern Louisiana, including a 40-yarder as time expired to give Nicholls a 27-24 victory… made 24 of 25 extra point attempts.
Offensive Newcomer of the Year: Ryan Hanley

Started the last eight games at center as a true freshman, making his first career start against McNeese State… appeared in all 11 games.
Defensive Newcomer of the Year: Ahmani Martin

Started nine of 11 games played at safety as a true freshman... had 59 tackles, averaging 5.4 stops per game... recorded 10 tackles in two different games... had 1.0 tackles for loss... tied for seventh in the conference with three interceptions, all coming in Southland play… was 14th in the league in passes defended with five breakups and two interceptions... had a forced fumble and fumble recovery... named FCS National Freshman of the Week honorable mention after his game at Lamar where he had 10 tackles and an interception.
Norman Swanner Special Achievement Award: Landry Klann

Played in 10 games at quarterback, starting the last two… led the Colonels to two victories in their last three games… threw for 698 yards and four touchdowns… had a career-game against Central Arkansas, throwing for 368 yards and four touchdowns… rushed for 108 yards and two scores on the year.
Academic Achievement Award: Dash Duncan

Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year: Charles Brooks

Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year: Patrick Riley

Special Teams Scout Team Player of the Year: Garret LeBlanc
