THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University baseball team was set to take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday at 6 p.m. but constant rains forced a postponement to allow for improved field conditions.
 
The Colonels (9-5-1, 2-1 SLC) and Islanders (8-5, 0-0 SLC) will now play a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. at Ray E. Didier Field and close out their series on Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
The postponement marks the fifth time this season that Nicholls has had to cancel or postpone a game due to inclement weather.
 
All three games this weekend will be broadcast live on KTIB 640 AM.
