Two Colonel Football Games to be aired in 2015

THIBODAUX, La. – The 2015 Nicholls State University football team will have at least two televised games for the upcoming fall, as the Southland Conference announced Wednesday its early television schedule.

The league revealed its television schedule for the first four weeks of the regular season, along with additional games throughout the rest of the season. Matchups in the early portion of the schedule are set for broadcast across ESPN3, Fox Sports Net and American Sports Network.

The Colonels' 2015 debut at ULM on Sept. 12 will be streamed on ESPN3. Kickoff for the season opener against the Warhawks is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Southland Conference on American Sports Network will feature five games in the early portion of the schedule, with an additional two matchups later in the season locked in for ASN: Central Arkansas at Houston Baptist (Oct. 10) and Nicholls at Southeastern Louisiana (Nov. 19). The meeting between Nicholls and Southeastern will be the 25th in the series history, with each team notching 12 victories.

Nicholls' matchup with Colorado on Sept. 26 could also be televised on the Pac-12 Network. The network will announce its television schedule for that weekend six to 12 days in advance.

For games on Oct., 3, and beyond, the conference will reveal most television choices 12 days prior to kickoff. This will allow for the best matchups to be selected each week for various partners. In previous years, the conference announced all television selections prior to the season, except for wild card choices in the final weeks of the season.

ESPN plans to exercise its option to make the initial choice most weeks, placing a top-tier game on ESPN3, its multi-screen network. The Southland Conference on American Sports Network will then make its selection, with those games syndicated throughout the region and beyond. Cox Sports Television is set to air a package of games as well, but those dates and times are still to be determined.
