THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University baseball team will not face Sacred Heart on Thursday at 6 p.m. as scheduled, but will hope for a break in the rain and an opportunity to play on Friday and/or Saturday, weather permitting.
 
The Colonels and Pioneers have tentatively scheduled a doubleheader for Friday. The teams are prepared for a 12:30 p.m. start, but could potentially begin earlier or later, depending on the forecast and playing conditions. The teams are also prepared to play one or both games on Saturday if an opportunity does not present itself on Friday.

The Colonels will conclude their nine-game home stand with a battle against Tulane at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and a matchup with Southern at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
