THIBODAUX, La. – Coming off of a three-game Southland Conference series sweep of McNeese at Ray E. Didier Field, the Nicholls State University baseball team will head north for a non-conference bout against ULM at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Colonels (20-24, 10-11 SLC) have won seven of their last nine league games, but are just 1-6 in their previous seven non-conference contests.
The Warhawks (16-28, 7-14 Sun Belt) have dropped seven of their last eight games and are coming off of a 2-1 series loss at the hands of Georgia Southern over the weekend.
ULM owns a 70-51 edge in the all-time series against Nicholls, but the Colonels have won five of the last seven meetings with the Warhawks, including a 2-0 series sweep last season.
Gavin Wehby and
Kyle Knauth pace the Nicholls offense with identical averages of .344. Wehby has a team-high 53 hits, to go along with 25 RBIs and 25 runs. Knauth leads the Colonels with 26 RBIs and has 20 runs on the year.

Joey Morales have combined for 32 stolen bases on 39 attempts this season.
Jacob Stockton leads the ULM offense with a .283 average, 26 runs and 25 RBIs. Nathan Pugh has a team-leading six stolen bases, but has been caught stealing six times.

The Colonels will next travel to Texas for a three-game Southland Conference series at Houston Baptist, beginning May 6. Nicholls is set to host Alcorn State on May 11.
