THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University Athletics Department has set dates for its Colonel Caravan, which will feature stops in Houma, New Orleans and Thibodaux.
 
Open to all alumni, donors and season-ticket holders, each event will include a meet-and-greet with Nicholls coaches, university administrators and President Bruce Murphy. Also featured at each stop will be free hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and Nicholls giveaways. The dress for the events is business casual.
 
"We are looking forward to the upcoming Colonel Caravans," said Monique Crochet, Executive Director of Alumni and External Affairs. "This will be a great opportunity for Nicholls and surrounding communities to meet and get to know the University President and Administration, athletic coaches and other alums who live in the same area.  I can't wait to see how much Colonel Pride we can fit in one place."  
 
The caravan will open in New Orleans on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at the National WWII Museum. The second event will be held the next day, Aug. 25, in Houma at Café Dominique and the final scheduled stop is on Wednesday, Aug. 31 in Thibodaux at La Casa Del Sol. All events are from 6 – 8 p.m.  
 
"We are extremely excited about our three Colonel Caravan stops this year. There are Nicholls supporters all over the Bayou Region and this is an excellent way to bring us all together," said Brandon Ruttley, Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs. "With the beginning of our academic year just around the corner, there is no better time than now to start supporting our great university."
