AMCC PREVIEW
- The Islanders are coming off a 65-49 loss at Lamar on Wednesday night. AMCC shot just 36 percent from the field and has 23 turnovers.
- AMCC is 6-3 at home this season. The squad went 2-1 in its last home stand by defeating Northwestern State and Southeastern Louisiana, and falling 49-41 to Central Arkansas.
- The Islanders are led by 3-point specialist Brittany Mbamalu. She is the lone player averaging double figures for AMCC, leading the team with 10.5 points per game. Mbamalu ranks 75th in the NCAA in 3-pointers made (2.4).

The Colonels' next home game Feb. 8 against Stephen F. Austin will be their annual Stuff Stopher event. One game a season, the fans and students pack the arena to create a hostile atmosphere. The men hosted theirs on Jan. 19 and 1,500 fans saw Nicholls hold off Abilene Christian, 62-59.
