STORYLINES
- Despite a significant 17-point lead in the first half at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi last Saturday, the Colonels fell into a funk against the Islanders and were handed a 65-60 loss. The setback dropped the Colonels to under .500 in league play and 2-9 on the road. (RECAP)
- The loss denied head coach DoBee Plaisance from reaching 100 wins in her tenure at Nicholls. The New Orleans native will have a chance to reach the milestone this week against the two programs she played for - Southeastern Louisiana and New Orleans. Plaisance became the program's all-time leader in wins last season, surpassing Ben Abadie's 89.
- The matchup will feature a battle between sisters as Colonel senior Taylor Morrison will square off against Lady Lion freshman Tyler Morrison. Taylor is averaging 10.0 points per game for Nicholls, while Tyler is scoring 6.6 in seven games played. Both guards prepped at St. Michael's in Baton Rouge.
