Colonels wind down four-game home stretch against Culver-Stockton College

THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University men's basketball team will break a 13-day hiatus from competition when it faces Culver-Stockton College on Saturday at 6 p.m. inside Stopher Gymnasium.

The Colonels (4-5) are looking to snap a two-game losing skid. Through nine games, Nicholls has outscored its opponents 427-403 in the second half.

The Colonels' scoring efforts are fronted by senior guards Roddy Peters and Tevon Saddler, who average 19.7 and 17.0 points per game, respectively. The two are also 1-2 in rebounding as Saddler leads with 6.7 boards per game followed by Peters' 6.1.

Nicholls boasts the seventh-highest scoring offense in Division I at 90.8 points per game. Despite going 1-20 from beyond the arc in their most recent contest, the Colonels also top the Southland with 10.3 treys per game.

The Wildcats (3-9), a NAIA institution, have three scoring threats in Mike Johnson (22.6 ppg), Tarae Potter (19.8 ppg) and Colin Jones (18.5 ppg).
