THIBODAUX, La. – The 2018 Southland Conference champion Nicholls State University football team added four student-athletes on the first day of the December early signing period.
The four players consist of three local Louisiana products, one by way of the University of Arkansas, and a wideout from Mississippi.
Jordan Jackson (Dutchtown HS) and Derrick Munson (Rummel/Arkansas) join the Colonels as defensive backs, while wide receiver Brooks Rayburn (Hancock HS - Miss.) and tight end Levon Williams (John Curtis) strengthen an impressive group of returning skill players in the passing game.
Munson lettered two seasons at Arkansas, playing linebacker and special teams for the SEC member Razorbacks. In 2018, he recorded 14 tackles with 2.0 for loss and one sack.
The Colonels graduated 27 seniors from this year's playoff team, but return nine of the 15 All-Southland selections and two honorable mentions.
The full signing class will be introduced in February on National Signing Day.
