THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University men's basketball team will put its undefeated home record on the line Wednesday as it faces Lamar University at Stopher Gym at 7 p.m.

The Colonels (10-10, 3-4 SLC) are 6-0 at Stopher this year, and this game will serve as the program's Stuff Stopher, which will be highlighted by the program's banner unveiling for receiving a share of last year's Southland Conference regular season title. There will also be a Synergy Bank plane toss at halftime for a Visa gift card.

Fans can listen in on ESPN New Orleans 100.3 FM with Voice of the Colonels Bryant Johnson on the call or watch on a phone, tablet or computer via YouTube Live.

Nicholls is looking to halt its three-game losing skid, dropping road contests to McNeese, UCA and A&M-Corpus Christi. In the most recent setback against the Islanders, graduate transfer Gavin Peppers fronted the Colonels with 16 points while junior Danny Garrick drained five triples for 15.

Peppers has been on a 3-point tear in league play, tying Sam Houston State's Cameron Delaney atop the Southland in treys per game (3.1) and ranking second in 3-point field goal percentage (.500). The Washington D.C. native has knocked down 22-of-23 free throws in conference contests, ranking third in Division I with a .952 free throw percentage.

The Cardinals (9-11, 2-5 SLC) have dropped four of their last five games, besting UIW at home in overtime. Forward Josh Nzeakor fronts Lamar with 15.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Lamar boasts the top rebound margin in the Southland at 5.5.
