THIBODAUX, La, - Nicholls State University's women's basketball team is set to travel to Bloomington, Ind., to face Indiana University in its second competition of the 2019-2020 season. The Colonels will take on the 24th-ranked Hoosiers at 11 a.m. on Nov. 10 in the Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
This marks Nicholls' first meeting against Indiana and only its second matchup with a Big 10 team. The Colonels fell to Ohio State University 94-35 during the 2005-2006 season.

Nicholls is looking to bounce back from an 0-1 start after falling to Rice University 71-47 in its season opener on Nov. 5 in Houston, Texas. A strong defensive performance from the Owls held the Colonels to a field goal percentage of 25.5 percent.
However, sophomore guard
Adrian Mann led the Colonels offensively. Mann went 5 of 8 in FGs and 4 of 5 in three-pointers to post 14 points and a shooting percentage of 62.5. She also finished with a team-high eight rebounds.
Freshman guard
Terris McKay made her debut for the Colonels, posting five points and two assists in 16 minutes of play.
The Hoosiers concluded their 2018-2019 campaign with an NCAA Tournament at-large berth. They defeated the University of Texas in the first round before falling to the University of Oregon in the second.
Indiana enters Sunday's matchup following a 75-52 victory at home over Mount St. Mary's University on Nov. 7. The Hoosiers trailed 6-3 for the first few minutes of the game, but they quickly regained the lead in the first quarter and retained it for the rest of the competition.
Sophomore guard Grace Berger dominated for the Hoosiers, shooting 61.5 percent and finishing with 24 points and seven rebounds.
