Due to inclement weather sweeping through the area over the weekend, Abilene Christian University has opted to shift Saturday's originally scheduled game three into a Friday doubleheader, first pitch set for 3 p.m. with the final matchup to begin half an hour following game two's conclusion.

ABILENE, Texas -- The Nicholls State University baseball program (27-25, 13-14 Southland) wraps up the team's 2019 regular season schedule at Abilene Christian (23-26, 10-17 Southland) later this week, battling the Wildcats in a critical three-game league series running from Thursday, May 16 through Friday, May 17 (DH) at Crutcher Scott Field in Abilene, Texas.

The Colonels enter the series holding firm to the final seed in the Southland Conference Tournament at eighth overall in the league standings, meaning the Red & Gray have the opportunity to punch their ticket to Sugar Land, Texas for the second straight season with a strong showing against ACU.
