SOUTHLAND RELEASE/SCHEDULE

THIBODAUX, La.  – Nicholls State University head football coach Tim Rebowe along with seniors Chase Fourcade and Allen Pittman will represent the conference defending champions at the 2019 Southland Conference Football Media Day, held Thursday, July 18 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak by the Galleria.

Press conferences and student-athlete interviews will air live on ESPN3, with the morning broadcast beginning at 9 a.m. CT and afternoon show starting at 1:15 p.m. The show will be hosted by Southland announcers Randy McIlvoy and Carley McCord.

Following comments from Commissioner Tom Burnett, the Colonels will get started at 9:30 a.m. as the first team to field questions at the podium. Around 10 a.m., the trio will participate in the Southland Social Media Suite where they will produce content that can be seen across the league's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Coverage of each Southland team's press conference is available via WatchESPN.com and the ESPN app. Archived video of each team's press conference and select quotes from each attendee will be made available after the conclusion of Media Day.

Rebowe, a two-time Louisiana coach of the year, is entering his fifth year at the head of the Colonels. Over the last two seasons, Nicholls has reached the FCS playoffs twice, claimed the program's second Southland title and has a combined 14-4 record in conference and a 11-1 mark at home.

Fourcade is coming off a historic junior season at quarterback where he became the first Colonel to be named Southland player of the year. He also surpassed the program mark for career passing yards as Nicholls set offensive records in total yards and points last season.

Pittman has over 200 career tackles at linebacker and has been named All-Southland in each of his three seasons. He is a member of Coach Rebowe's first signing class in 2015.

The 2019 preseason poll will be revealed Thursday, July 18, to kick off Southland Football Media Day around 9 a.m.
