THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University women's basketball team will look for back-to-back victories as the Colonels take on rival Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday, Feb. 15 for its Women's Health Day, presented by Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center.
Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN3. The Colonels will wear their special pink uniforms to help raise breast cancer awareness.

Nicholls (7-16, 4-10 SLC) had a thrilling victory Wednesday at Lamar, which was the first win in Beaumont for the Red and Gray since 2002. The Colonels raced out to a 17-point lead in the first half and held on for a 62-60 triumph. After Lamar took the lead with 27 seconds left,
Loan-Anh Johnson tied the game with a layup and the defense picked up a steal, leading to the game-winning bucket by
Airi Hamilton.
It was the second time in conference that Hamilton had some late-game heroics, with the other coming on Jan. 11 at SLU. With the game tied in the final seconds, Hamilton collected a missed shot and scored a putback as time expired for a 67-65 victory. The win was the fourth straight in the series.
The Lady Lions (10-12, 7-6 SLC) are three wins ahead of the Colonels in the standings, helped by a recent five-game winning streak. SLU saw the run come to an end Wednesday with a loss to Sam Houston State.
The teams are nearly identical on the offensive end as Nicholls is averaging 64.6 points and SLU is at 63.3 ppg, and the Lion Lions have a slight edge at 40.5 percent from the field to 40.4 for the Colonels. The biggest difference is SLU is averaging twice as many 3-pointers at 6.1 per game and are shooting at a 33.4 percent clip.
