KATY, Texas - The Southland Conference has canceled the remaining games of the 2020 Southland Conference Tournament in Katy, Texas, amid concerns about the COVID-19 situation.

"The Southland Conference has been monitoring the situation with the coronavirus very closely. The health and safety of the student-athletes, coaches, officials, fans and other tournament personnel is of utmost importance. As a result, the Southland Conference has determined that the prudent course of action is to cancel the remainder of the tournament effective immediately."

Both women's and men's teams were scheduled to play their first games on Thursday. The women end their season with a 13-16 overall record and a seven-game winning streak. The men notched a 20-win season with a 21-10 overall record.
