Colonels complete first scrimmage of camp

THIBODAUX, La. - With the season opener rapidly approaching, the Nicholls State University football team saw its first live action of the spring as the Colonels had a controlled scrimmage Saturday morning on Manning Field at John L. Guidry Stadium.

Head coach Tim Rebowe put his team through around 100 plays, including third-down and red zone situations. The offense had two touchdown drives early with the ball starting at its own 25, then closed out the scrimmage with three consecutive 60-yard drives ending with a TD. For the defense, the squad totaled three interceptions, four sacks and two fumbles.
