THIBODAUX, La. – Split with three on first team and three on second, the Nicholls State University football team had six honorees on the 2020-21 LSWA All-Louisiana College Football Team, the organization announced Monday. 
 
Offensive lineman P.J. Burkhalter repeated as a first-team selection and was joined on the top squad by fellow lineman Jair Joseph and wide receiver Dai'Jean Dixon. Second-team selections were offensive lineman Evan Roussel, safety Kevin Moore III and defensive back Pig Cage. 
 
The first-team trio was a key component to the FCS' No. 2 scoring offense. Burkhalter, Joseph and second-team Roussel helped cleared the way for a rushing attack that averaged 263.4 yards per game. 
 
Dixon posted another outstanding season at wideout, hauling in 35 receptions for 514 yards and seven touchdowns. Dixon shined in the three games against Louisiana programs, finishing with two touchdowns catches in each contest against McNeese and Northwestern State, and totaled 92 yards on five receptions in the River Bell Classic. 
 
Moore and Cage represented the Colonel defense after each tallied an interception. Moore paced Nicholls with 48 tackles to go along with two forced fumbles and a sack.  Cage had 30 stops, 11.0 tackles for loss and one forced fumble.
