THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University football program's signature fundraising event, the HUDDLE UP! on the 50 – 5K Run/Walk & Tailgate Cook-Off will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20 at John L. Guidry Stadium.

The annual event helps celebrate the beginning of the fall sports season at Nicholls State University. This family-friendly event on Fan Day features a 5K Run/Walk, Kids Fun Run and Tailgate Cook-off Competition -- all leading up to the football's final fall scrimmage to end the day starting at 6:30 p.m.

The "HUDDLE UP! on the 50 - 5K Run/Walk"  takes advantage of a flat, fast course that runs through the campus of Nicholls State University before finishing on the 50 yard line of John L. Guidry Stadium.  All participants are invited to attend our Post-Race Finish Fest that includes complimentary food and beverages for participants (ID Required) along with live entertainment.  Runners will receive an official race T-shirt and unique finishers medal upon completion of the race.  Awards will be given to the 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place overall finishers.  Additionally, Age Group awards will be given, for both male and female participants.
