Final Stats THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University volleyball team (3-3) concluded the Colonel Classic with a 3-0 loss to Southern Illinois (3-3).

The Colonel's attack was led by a variety of attackers. Sophomore outside hitter Trinity Vinzant led the way with nine kills and hit a .348. Senior S'mara Riley recorded eight kills while hitting .462. She was a force for the Colonels all weekend recording totals of 30 kills and nine blocks, while having an average hitting percentage of .343.
Additionally, freshman middle blocker Paris Dixon tallied seven and senior Devon Bright added six.

Senior setter Lilly Bivens paced the offense with 20 assists. She also recorded two service aces. Defensively, the Colonels were spearheaded by Vinzant and sophomore libero Kadie Becnel who both registered 12 digs.

Head Coach Kallie Noble gave her thoughts on the Colonel's games during the weekend.

"Preseason matches are all about learning more about our team and where we are at," Noble said. "We have a couple more weekends to make some adjustments to be ready for the conference season."
