Fayetteville, Ark. - The Nicholls State University cross country team concluded the season at the NCAA Division I South Central Regional meet on Friday, Nov. 10 hosted by the University of Arkansas at Argi Park.
The women's side had two Colonels place in the top 150 in the 6k course. Freshman, Kassidy Besson was the first Colonel to cross the line in 119th place in a time of 23:11.4. The second Colonel to finish was fellow freshman Issy Rivault who crossed the line in 23:51.3 to earn 150th.
The first on the men's side to finish was Goran Duijsters, running the 10k in 23:51.3, placing 155th. The next to complete the course was Chase Walker, coming in 160th place in a time of 34:42.0.
The men's race featured 25 teams whereas the women's race had 24 teams competing. There were 180 female runners and 172 male competitors in their respective races. The men's team finished in 25th place with a total of 776 points. The women's team came in 24th place with a total of 672 points.
