THIBOUDAUX, La. – After two weeks away from home, the Nicholls State University women's basketball team will close out the month with a home game against Dillard University on Tuesday, Nov. 28 inside Stopher Gym and a road contest at Alcorn State University on Thursday, Nov. 30. The action against Dillard can be streamed via ESPN+ at 6:30 p.m.
This is the second all-time matchup against Dillard and Nicholls leads the series 1-0 after a 69-59 victory in Thibodaux in 2007. The Colonels and Braves have battled twice with Alcorn leading the series 2-0 after picking up wins in 2007 and 2008.
The Colonels are coming off a weekend in Phoenix where they beat Eastern Illinois (63-55) and fell to Grand Canyon University (63-40).
The Red & Gray is led by two double figure scorers. Sophomore forward
Lexi Alexander averages 12.7 points and 6.6 rebounds, and freshman guard
Britiya Curtis averages 10.7 points and 5.1 boards.
Senior guard
Kyla Hamilton score 9.3 points per game, junior forward
Deonna Brister scores 7.9 points per contest, and senior guard
Ashley Malone averages 7.4 points. Freshman guard
Betzalys Delgado paces the offense with 4.9 assists.
